Natalie, still with the trident in her, has washed up to shore, and is found by a park ranger. Somehow, she suddenly has legs instead of fins!
After a heroic struggle, our mermaid heroine floats unconscious toward the surface. The trident still stuck through her lower half.
Natalie’s mermaid soul, represented by the swarm of jellyfish, is caught in the thorns of the hedge while she breaks free to swim away.
Our leading mermaid, Natalie, is now thoroughly ensnared in the thorns of the hedge, while the sea monster / sea dragon tries to tear his way through to get to her. But, why are there jellyfish?
The scary sea monster / sea dragon attacks Natalie (our runaway mermaid) with his vicious claws, leaving a trail of blood through the water, and sending her careening into the thorns of the hedge!
Natalie, our mermaid heroine, tries to swim away from the sea monster / sea dragon, but looks back even though she knows she shouldn’t. A school of little fish also swimming away obscure Natalie’s naughty-bits from the viewer.
The trident slices into Natalie’s fin and throws her backward. The thorns of the hedge are all around her. In the foreground a snail panics seeing the incoming sea monster / sea dragon, and in the background a meat-eating plant busy strangling a fish notices the commotion and isn’t sure what to do.
A mermaid swims through a crumbling, overgrown, undersea courtyard. Instead of a fountain the center of the courtyard has a deep-sea diver planting a mine, the leather slowly being overgrown by coral. He’s threatened one side by a cecealia (a human / octopus hybrid, like Ursula), and by a water djinn on the other. At the end of the courtyard is a stone archway.
